Finding other stakeholders in your community

Many hands make light work. The same is true when it comes to lake restoration. Getting others on your lake aware of the problem, educated on solutions, and involved in the process will lead to faster success and sustained results.

Chances are, you’re not the only one fed up with the state of your lake. If you’ve found other neighbors that are frustrated, start getting organized:

• Invite neighbors to use Lake & Pond Heroes
• Start a group of like-minded people
• Look for funding opportunities

All of these steps are covered in detail in the following core courses. If you haven’t started talking to the fellow stakeholders on your lake, it’s never too late! Go door to door, invite people to use this site, use HOA meetings to educate others, etc. Whatever you have to do to get others aware and involved, do it.
